Loved this book! Sexy merman, distraught woman who flings herself into the ocean and his embrace and discovers the love that she's been missing...what's not to like??? I love the world-building. It was a refreshing change that mermaids never fall in love...they sleep around with mermen and human men, have babies, and then drop off their infants to the merman father to raise while he pines for his unfaithful and cruel mermaid mate. I enjoyed reading about a (mer)man who was afraid to give his heart away, thinking it would be shattered by the one he loved and he would be abandoned and betrayed. In many books, it seems that it is more often the woman who is afraid of being abandoned and betrayed. It was nice that Zantu had to learn to trust his human mate. It was a beautiful happily-ever-after. Where can I get my 'monster?'Product details

This is my first exposure to this author from a free promotion. I am glad I chose this book to try. It was so different to have the merman's point of view, although I was unsettled at how the mermaids treated their mates and children. I especially enjoyed the concept that merpeople sing to communicate! Wouldn't that be lovely. Imagine thoughts and emotions communicated with notes and music instead of words that get misinterpreted. A lovely little love story. I look forward to reading about the other monsters in the series.
I enjoyed this underwater dwellers story from a man's point of view. However dealing with mermaids that are slightly evil is a dark way of seeing things. I'm glad Zantu and Brianna were able to make it through. I can't wait for the brother's story. He also deserves a happily ever after.
Loved this story of Brianna and Zantu! Brianna made an awful decision, but Zantu saved her from herself. They formed an immediate bond and helped each other heal. But how can a merman and human woman be together? I loved how the story ended. I only wish there were a sequel, perhaps about his brother Rubac.
This was like reading "Finding Nemo" with graphic sex. IMO, this reads like a first idea, first selfpublish book. It is written very simple and short story, like for a youngster, but with badly written graphic sex. I feel it could have been an excellent story had the writing been done in a college or higher level and fleshed out. Again, it could have been great. I believe the writing is from an author that is too young and has very limited life experience.
Briana a human woman in a loveless and childless marriage is so unhappy that she decides to drown herself by weighing down her body in the ocean. She is saved by a merman Zantac who only intentions was to assist her with air and let her go. However, she thinks she is dreaming and clamps her legs around his hips while he is breathing air in her body and she sexually stimulates him which cause a sexual bond for a merman. Now she has become his mate and he has to defend her from all harm while under water. The mermaids are very vicious creatures who are not monogamous they take a merman drop off the kids for them to care for and find another merman where the men are strictly monogamous.
You know I came across this book so many times on my store, but never bought till the day had come to get influenced by group I am in and I bought it!
I didn't expect that this book was going to be so good! Like it was weird as hell especially the sex scenes but definitely hot. If you think this book is weird by its description then do not worry it doesn't let you down! ha! Honestly, read it because it is a different kind of setting and its cool as the ocean.
Overall I did enjoy it. I would highly recommend it!
I found this author through one of my facebook groups posting a link to her free book The Centaur's Bride. Really enjoyed the book so I looked up the rest. I was so upset that this is the one I read last. Being a mom, anything involving children can make me tear up. I absolutely adored this book. It took me from crying from Brianna's pain to being so happy that she found what she was missing...and vise versa with Zantu's emotional roller coaster.
Seriously...read this book. I know I'll be reading any others in the 'Mates for Monsters' series that come out.
...my only con about this book is I agree about the end feeling short. I know these are single books following the couples, but I'd love to know how things went for these two at the end.
